A poetic metaphysical vision of life in the modern age.  Lifes ups and downs the nuances of separation and new age rants.  A member of Maxine Hong Kingston Writers Group called "Veterans of War, Veterans of Peace" also a member of Pen Oaklands Writers Group.  Mr. Howerton's poetics appears in two anthologies, Oakland Out Loud and Fightin' Words.  Short stories published Firing Blanks at Moving Targets editor Gary Gach.

George Van Tassel was an aviation pioneer.  He flew the early jet aircraft of the 1950's and 60's he was also a top test pilot and aeronautical engineer for Howard Hughes while employed by Hughes Aircraft.  Mr. Van Tassel is known for many ventures.  He  had an airport in the Mohave Desert called Giant Rock, Landers, CA, this airport is legendary for one of its landings of an  extraterrestrial space craft (Flying Saucer).

Mr. Van Tassel stated many times at lectures and other events that he boarded that saucer and flew from coast to coast in a very short period of time.

George wrote a book titled, When Stars Look Down, it's  legendary and out of print.  The book dealt with space travel and extraterrestrial star systems,  also, Mr. Van Tassel wrote many pamphlets on Ufology.

Mr. Van Tassel had ten acres of land in Landers, CA, on this property he has a telescope which is now defunct.  He also has a fantastic building painted white it's very stunning in the sunlight.  This building is called the  Integratron its function was for rejuvenation.  The  building was originally built on the instructions  of the extraterrestrials.  Those same extraterrestrials that took George Van Tassel on that legendary flight in the 1950 's.  This monument stands today as a testimony that, we humans are far from being alone in this   solar system.
